1. Prioritise Fluidity Over Structure
In the heat, stiff fabrics and rigid shapes feel wrong. Instead, choose pieces that move with you - light, drapey, and unbothered. These fabrics offer that expensive-looking ease:
Tencel: Drapes like silk, wears like cotton
Modal or bamboo jersey: Buttery soft with a clean, luxe finish
Cupro or lyocell: That subtle sheen = instant polish
High-quality cotton poplin: Crisp but breathable, holds shape beautifully
2. Polished Silhouettes, Airy Cuts
It’s all in the shape. Go for soft tailoring and fluid lines, clothes that skim without clinging and suggest intention without effort.
Wide-leg trousers in floaty blends (elasticated waist = bonus points)
Slip or midi skirts that catch the breeze
Relaxed shirts worn open over tonal tanks
Sleeveless blazers or structured vests instead of cardis
The formula: Clean lines + loosened structure = quiet confidence
